Accepting New Clients Now.
Breeann Hamp, LCSW: I provide a nonjudgmental and accepting environment for clients to feel safe as they tell their stories. I take a collaborative approach, understanding and recognizing that we must work together to accomplish your goals, offering support every step of the way. I recognize that deciding to find a therapist and seeking treatment is a difficult, challenging, and highly personal decision. Talking about your life and disclosing personal details to someone you've never met in a professional setting can be daunting and unnerving. I strive to create a comfortable and welcoming environment for each one of my clients, honoring self-determination and individuality.
My areas of specialty are LGBTQ+, high-functioning autism, adolescents, postpartum depression, and trauma. I have a personal passion for the challenges these individuals face. I have broadened my education to understand the most effective methods for these types of therapeutic work. I aim to dispel stereotypes in these areas as they face unique struggles and form a base of support that starts with treatment.

"Some dream it, some do it, some do both.” - Walt Disney
With more than twenty years of experience as a social work clinician, I've dedicated my career to assisting individuals of all ages in turning their dreams of healing into tangible outcomes. My distinctive therapeutic style is enriched with a repertoire that encompasses trauma-informed care. It's my commitment to be a beacon for you throughout your personal journey toward recovery—a journey I approach with the utmost respect and regard. Ensuring that every client feels listened to and comprehended is pivotal, as creating a secure environment for clients is my priority.
My extensive work with youth has culminated in a focus on treating children affected by all types of trauma, from sexual, physical, and emotional neglect to issues arising from divorce or educational difficulties. Additionally, I'm adept at managing anxiety, depressive disorders, and a variety of behavioral problems. Together, we'll equip your child with the necessary tools for healing.
The techniques I employ for children and adolescents include but are not limited to Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Play Therapy, all delivered from a standpoint rooted in attachment theory.
While my professional services cater to children and teenagers, the therapeutic sessions I provide for adults are equally paramount. Adults frequently find themselves reconciling childhood traumas while juggling life's adult obligations without respite for their own unresolved pain. Some might discover that even retirement doesn't offer the anticipated solace, typically due to unaddressed traumatic experiences interfering with their well-being. My treatment approaches with adults incorporate Trauma-Informed Care, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, Sand Tray Therapy, and EMDR therapy.
Whether you're a young adult seeking space to heal and grow, an older individual aiming to shed prolonged distress and sorrow, or a parent looking for support for your child—or if your child themselves requires guidance—I eagerly await the opportunity to collaborate with you on this restorative path.
